Prior to becoming a counselor, Julie was a wedding planner and saw many couples get married that did not yet have the skills to make a marriage work. She made it her mission to help couples in marriages build skills to make the marriage successful. Through that work she found those transitioning out of marriage were faced with feelings of vulnerability about the unknown future. Julie has helped many people going through divorce and other traumas rebuild their identity and become happier as they let go of the familiar past and grow in their new life and identity. Julie completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Webster University.
"I have found that most people come to counseling to be happier in their lives and relationships. It is my goal, as your counselor, to help you figure out what barriers are between you and that feeling."
Kristi offers counseling to couples, families, adults, and teens dealing with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, addiction, marital conflict, relationship difficulties, and more.
Kristi’s therapeutic style is characterized by genuine warmth and connection and evidence-based clinical treatment. Through both, clients are supported in accessing their innate abilities and strengths while learning practical and realistic coping skills they can use in their daily lives. These coping skills help support real and lasting change. In working with Kristi, you will be regarded with an unconditional
acceptance, genuineness, understanding, and non-judgement. Kristi’s professional and personal
experience has inspired her belief that all human beings are capable of transformation and growth. She recognizes that sharing your story and moving toward a journey of healing is profoundly brave and an exciting step.
“My clients are fully welcomed and embraced exactly as they are. My intention is to provide a safe space where each person I work with can experience being known, cared for, and understood. It is my goal to truly get to know what my client’s life experiences have been like, through their eyes. Together we will explore where you have been, where you are now, and where you wish to be. I believe each person can cultivate a happy, meaningful, joy-filled life.
I seek to provide a space where you may recognize you are not broken or something to be fixed,
although it may feel that way. Rather, you are a whole and complete person, worthy and “enough” right
here right now, exactly as you are. I believe we all have the power and strength within us to find our
own answers and truth. It is my goal to help you tap into that inner strength and power, and it starts
with peeling back some layers of untruths. As we work together, we will focus on deconstructing the
narratives that keep you stuck or hold you back, so that you may be free to embrace your heart’s
deepest desires, speak your truth, and trust yourself. In this process, it is my goal to truly see you, hear
you, and honor you as the strong, capable, and worthy human being that you are. Our journey together
will be one based on trust and safety.
I am passionate about my clients recognizing their own worth, living fulfilling lives, finding inner peace
and true joy, and having healthy relationships. I strive to meet each client where they are at, allow them
to set their own pace, and individually tailor my approach to best suit their needs. What I want most for
my clients is for them to discover their own value and tap into their inner wisdom. I believe everybody
should experience a safe space where they can unapologetically lay it all on the table: the good, the bad, and the ugly. And then be met with total and unconditional acceptance for their vulnerability and
humanness. This type of release and support/connection can relieve a great deal of pressure from one’s body and life in general.”
